George Brown
George has developed both an international
and national reputation in the area of quality assurance and
accreditation within the higher education system of Australia.
He has been featured in a variety of Australian and overseas
publications and has published widely regarding his work surrounding
the protection of Australia's higher education system.
For the last five years, George has provided an information
service to all state & territory higher education divisions
on the status of unrecognized providers of higher education
in Australia. His work in the area of degree/ diploma
mill activity has given rise to George being the leading authority
in the Asia Pacific area re-the prevalence of unauthorised higher
education credentials and their providers. In 2008, Dr Brown
was appointed to the Register of Higher Education Assessors
for the New
South Wales Department of Education and Training
George has held a number of senior positions
within the higher education sector of Australia. These
include Manager of Degree Programs for Regency
Hotel School, the International
College of Hotel Management, and Academic Director for Le
Cordon Bleu International and Eynesbury
Institute of Business & Technology . He is currently
Academic Director for the Think:
Education Group based in Sydney, New South Wales.
George's formative education was undertaken
in the United
Kingdom; his secondary education was completed at Collège
Beau Soleil and Collège
du Léman in Switzerland. He holds a Bachelor of Business
and a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University
of South Australia, a Master of Educational Management from
Flinders
University and a Ph.D. from
The University of Adelaide.
